Ternium to invest $4 billion in coming years to build new plants in Mexico

According to Máximo Vedoya, the General Director of Mexican steelmaker Ternium México, his company is planning to invest more than US$4 billion in the next few years.


After the meeting with the Mexican Ministry of Economy, Vedoya said that this investment is dedicated to building completely new plants in Pesquería in Nuevo Leon State that will begin production in 2026.

The director added that even with the change of government in the United States and Mexico, he does not see any concern regarding a strengthening USMCA, but he warned that there must be a vision and objective for it, and all parties must work together so that integration in USMCA can be reached.
