RUSAL, a global leading aluminum supplier in Russia, reported its adjusted net profit was US$446 million for the first half of this year, up by 41.6% compared to US$315 million in the same period a year ago.
The gain was mainly due to the company’s increase in its output of aluminum, alumina, and other products, and shipments to China also hit a record high.
During the period, RUSAL’s primary aluminum production totaled 1.96 million tons, and alumina production was 3 million tons, both of which were higher than the volume in the year-ago period. Besides, both aluminum and alumina prices experienced an increase during this period.
