Ecovery LLC, a metal recycling in Alabama, will commission a 60,000-pound secondary aluminum furnace at its processing plant in Loxley this September.

This new furnace is Ecovery’s second major capital expenditure project in 2024 and the second on-site rotary furnace. With the new furnace, the company’s melting capacity can be increased, and it will also expand the dross processing and toll conversion services for customers.

Ecovery installed an X-ray sorting line earlier this year, which is to supply furnace-ready aluminum chips to aluminum rolling mills in the Southeast and Midwest.
