BRASS

Descriptions

Brass is an alloy made of copper and zinc, typically containing about 30% to 40% zinc. This alloy is widely favored for its corrosion resistance, ease of fabrication, good mechanical properties, and attractive golden appearance. Brass is harder and stronger than pure copper but softer and weaker than bronze, making it suitable for a variety of applications such as manufacturing machinery parts, musical instruments, ornaments, valves, pipe fittings, gaskets, ship components, and architectural decorations. Moreover, brass has good electrical and thermal conductivity, although not as good as pure copper, it is still adequate for some applications. The color of brass can be adjusted through polishing or electroplating to meet different aesthetic requirements.
