NMDC Limited, an Indian state-owned mining company, produced 3.07 million tons of iron ore in August, falling by nearly 10% compared to 3.41 million tons in the same month a year ago.

Meanwhile, NMDC's sales also experienced a year-on-year drop of 11.3%, sliding to 3.14 million tons.

During the April-August period, the company's cumulative iron ore output reached 14.43 million tons, dropping by 12.9% from the year-ago period. Sales slid by 6.7% year on year to 16.3 million tons during the period.
