According to statistics from the Indian Ministry of Mines, India produced around 98 million tons of iron ore in the April-July period of the fiscal year 2024-25, rising by nearly 9% compared to the same period a year ago.
During the period, the limestone production was up by 0.7% year on year to 150 million tons, and the output of manganese in the country also recorded a year-on-year hike of 18% at 1.3 million tons.
The continuous growth in iron ore and limestone production in the period showed that there was strong demand from industries such as steel and cement.
