US' rig count falls, Canada's keeps flat w-o-w

According to the report from Baker Hughes, in the week ending on September 6, 2024, the US’ rotary rig count was down by one unit week on week to 582 units. Among them, the number of drilling rigs for natural gas fell by one unit to 94 units, and that for oil kept unchanged at 488 units. The total number had a year-on-year decline of 50 units.

During the same period, Canada’s rig count maintained at 220 units. Canada’s rig number totally grew by 38 units from the same period a year ago.
