In July, Turkey's billet and bloom imports saw a substantial rise to around 261,000 tons, rising by 59% from the previous month, though falling by 7.8% from the same month in the preceding year. Import revenue for the month was US$144.7 million, reflecting the same 59% increase from June but a year-on-year 13.8% decrease.

In the first seven months of this year, Turkey's total imports of billet and bloom amounted to approximately 1.58 million tons, a decrease of 29.5% compared to the previous year. The total value of these imports fell by 33% year on year to US$903.3 million.

The main sources of Turkey's billet and bloom imports during this period were Russia (20%), Indonesia (14%), Malaysia (13%), and Algeria (13%).
