The Ministry of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan announced an extension of the temporary ban on ferrous metals, scrap metal, used and exhausted pipes, rails, railway elements, and rolling stock by another six months, effective from August 22.

The measure is to ensure a sufficient supply of raw materials for the domestic metallurgical industry. It is believed to help stabilize markets and support domestic production.
