According to statistics, Japan’s ferrous scrap exports totaled approximately 570,000 tons in July, slightly rising by 0.7% compared to the same month in the previous year.
Among them, exports to Vietnam accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 1.5 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 68%. South Korea and Taiwan ranked second and third with around 959,000 tons and 402,000 tons, sliding by 46% and 31% year on year, respectively.
In the first seven months of this year, Japan exported around 3.8 million tons of ferrous scrap, declining by 6.5% year on year.
