According to data from the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), primary aluminum production in both North and South America in the first half of this year grew compared to the same period a year ago.

Specifically, primary aluminum production in North America totaled 1.99 million tons, which hiked by 4.3% year on year. The production in South America was 751,000 tons, rising by 4.7% year on year.
