Italian steelmaker Feralpi Group had signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with US renewable energy company Enfinity Global, which would be valid for ten years. This agreement also became the first industrial power purchase agreement signed by Enfinity in Italy.

It was understood that Feralpi's industrial base in northern Italy would receive 15.5 MW of solar energy from an Enfinity-owned power plant in Emilia Romagna in the province of Ferrara and reduce 8,625 tons of carbon dioxide emissions every year.

The power plant is under construction and is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2025.
