According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey exported around 1.9 million tons of rebar in the first seven months of this year, hiking by nearly 10% compared to the corresponding period a year ago. The export value was down by 2.4% year on year to around US$1.1 billion.
Among them, the top three export destinations were Yemen (389,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.6%), Romania (152,000 tons, a year-on-year surge of 1,766%), and Albania (105,000 tons, a year-on-year jump of 204%).
In July alone, Turkey's rebar exports totaled approximately 337,000 tons, a month-on-month growth of 61% and a year-on-year increase of 2%. These exports were worth around US$195 million, down by 5% month on month and rising by 58% year on year.
