According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey's hot-rolled coil (HRC) exports amounted to around 1.4 million tons in the first seven months of this year, significantly rising by 145% compared to the year-ago level. The export value was roughly US$917 million, surging by 115% year on year.

Among them, the top three export destinations were Italy (around 433,000 tons, a year-on-year surge of 145%), Spain (around 178,000 tons, a year-on-year jump of 469%), and Egypt (around 146,000 tons, a year-on-year hike of 62%).

In July alone, Turkey’s HRC exports rose by 28% month on month and by 314% year on year, reaching approximately 310,000 tons. The value generated by these exports was roughly US$190 million, a month-on-month hike of 26% and a year-on-year growth of 241%.
